										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Carlisle Gun Club Meeting Minutes</strong><br />
<strong>12/17/2018</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><strong>Officers present:</strong>President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary and 3 Trustees.  There were 30 members present.</p>
<p><strong><u>The Minutes for the November 2018 meeting were read and approved.</u></strong><u>  </u></p>
<p><strong><u>Treasurer’s Report was read </u></strong><u><strong>and accepted</strong>.</u></p>
<p><strong>Corresponding Secretary’s Report-</strong>Recently sent 3 emails to all members.</p>
<p><strong>NRA Training Group Report-</strong>The NRA Training Group reported on training they conducted in December with a total of 11 students.  All training objectives were achieved. The training calendar for 2019 is complete and is posted on the Club’s website.</p>
<p><strong>New Members- </strong>There were 15 new members processed into the Club.</p>
<p><strong>4H Sharpshooters</strong>&#8211; There are 10 juniors shooting for the 4H.  They will be serving food for the Cowboy Action in January &amp; February. Also, a rifle that recently malfunctioned is being repaired.</p>
<p><strong>Cowboy Action- </strong>The Cowboy Action Shoots for 2018 are scheduled for January 5<sup>th</sup>and February 2<sup>nd</sup>starting at 10am.</p>
<p><strong>Membership Committee- </strong>Currently the CGC is processing new members.  Tony is working on a report to identify range usage trends and number of members using the club.</p>
<p><strong>WPPL Pistol Team- </strong>The team is moving up in scores and rankings.  To help encourage more shooters to join the team, they were asked to give a demonstration at a future CGC meeting.</p>
<p><strong>Trustees Report</strong>&#8211; The water leak at the main handwashing station was repaired.</p>
<p><strong>Old Business- </strong></p>
<p><strong>Membership</strong>&#8211; There was a motion to increase the membership limit from 400 to 500.  After much discussion and a vote, the motion was approved.</p>
<p><strong>Wi-Fi- </strong>Mike Kubarek reported on internet services and quotes from Comcast and CenturyLink.  Considerable discussion followed.  The Trustees were asked to present a recommendation at the next CGC meeting and a vote will take place.</p>
<p><strong>New Business- </strong></p>
<p><strong>Range Notice- </strong>It was suggested that club members receive at least a 2 week notice when the range will be closed.</p>
<p><strong>Additional Staff- </strong>Due to the amount of time and work involved in the membership process, more members are needed to volunteer on the Membership Committee. Please see Tony for more information.</p>
<p><strong>For the Good of the Club- </strong></p>
<p><strong>Safety- </strong>Safety must be kept a number one priority at all times.  With our membership increasing, and more shooters on the range, everyone must continue to exercise safety and caution.</p>

<strong>11/26/2018</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><strong>Officers present:</strong> President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary and 2 Trustees.  There were 29 members present</p>

Also, CGC NRA Instructors participated in Women on Target Shooting Clinic. The training calendar for 2019 is complete and will be posted on the Club’s website.</p>
<p><strong>New Members- </strong>There were 19 new members processed into the Club.</p>

<p><strong>Cowboy Action- </strong>No Report</p>
<p><strong>Membership Committee- </strong>Currently the CGC is processing new members to fill the vacancies.</p>
<p><strong>WPPL Pistol Team- </strong>Contact Gary Gibson if you are interested in joining the team.</p>
<p><strong>Trustees Report</strong>&#8211; No Report</p>
<p><strong>Old Business- </strong></p>
<p><strong>Wi-Fi- </strong>There was a discussion about the possibility of installing Wi-Fi at the club.  This will be addressed at a future meeting.</p>
<p><strong>Targets</strong>&#8211; Bowling pins are not acceptable targets in the range.  Paper targets only.</p>
<p><strong>Video Surveillance Upgrade</strong>&#8211; Tony will follow-up with Cam Tech on the status of installation.</p>
<p><strong>Membership</strong>&#8211; There was interest in raising the number of active members, but some concern on the impact that will have on the club. This topic will be discussed at a later date, so the NRA Instructors can be part of the conversation.</p>
<p><strong>NRA Check</strong>-The total amount of donations and matching club funds sent to the NRA was $920.</p>
<p><strong>New Business- </strong>No comments</p>
<p><strong>For the Good of the Club- </strong></p>
<p>It was announced that member Mike Kubarek recently experienced 2 deaths in his family.  A card was signed by club members and sent to Mike.</p>

<strong>10/29/2018</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><strong>Officers present:</strong> President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Secretary and 1Ttrustee.  There were 21 members present</p>
<p><strong><u>The Minutes for the September 2018 meeting were read and approved .</u></strong><u>  </u></p>
<p><strong><u>Treasurer’s Report was read</u></strong><u> <strong>and accepted</strong>.</u></p>
<p><strong>Corresponding Secretary’s Report-</strong> No Report</p>
<p><strong>NRA Training Group Report-</strong> The NRA Training Group reported on training they conducted in September and October with a total of 19 students.  All training objectives were achieved. Also, 6 NRA Instructors participated in 3 shooting events and 1 clinic for 16 students.  There will be a Basics of Personal Protection Outside the Home course and Defensive Pistol training that will complete the CGC training for 2018. The training calendar for 2019 is complete and will be posted on the Club’s website.</p>
<p><strong>There were no membership applications for this month.  </strong></p>
<p><strong>4H Shooters</strong>&#8211; The 4H shooters traveled to Grand Island, NE for the national shooting championship. They finished 8<sup>th</sup> overall.  The specific results of each member was read.</p>
<p><strong>Cowboy Action- </strong>No Report</p>
<p><strong>Membership Committee- </strong>There are 52 members that did not renew their membership for 2019.  There are currently 95 individuals on the waiting list.</p>
<p><strong>WPPL Pistol Team- </strong>They are still competing. Contact Gary Gibson if you are interested in joining the team.</p>
<p><strong>Trustees Report</strong>&#8211; There were 29 members present for the annual work day.  About 2000 lbs of lead was removed.</p>
<p><strong>Motorized damper motor-Dick Pryor made a motion to reserve $350.00 for the repair and/or replacement of the motor and wiring.  The motion was voted and approved.   </strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>Old Business- </strong></p>
<p>There was a discussion about the possibility of installing Wi-Fi at the club.  This will be addressed at a future meeting.</p>
<p><strong>Video Surveillance Upgrade-</strong> The new system will be installed in the near future.  A new network cabinet will replace the current metal cabinet.</p>
<p>Membership- There was interest in raising the number of active members, but some concern on the impact that will have on the club. It was suggested someone contact the insurance company to ask what the increased cost would be if more members are permitted.  It was proposed to present all new members at one meeting.  Denny Keuhn is willing to train new members during the week, if that is helpful.</p>

<p>A special thank you to Courtney Genise for donating her time and talent sewing and installing the new curtains at the club.</p>

<strong>8/27/2018</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><strong>Officers present:</strong> President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and 3 trustees.  There were 42 members present</p>
<p><strong><u>The Minutes for the July 30, 2018 meeting were read and accepted .</u></strong><u>  </u></p>
<p><strong><u>Treasurer’s Report was read</u></strong><u> <strong>and accepted</strong>.</u>  The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CDs and Training Fund amounted to $62,333.09.</p>
<p><strong>Corresponding Secretary’s Report.</strong>  No Report</p>
<p><strong>NRA Training Group Report-</strong> The NRA Training Group reported on training support (instructors and instructional materials) they provided to Roots for Boots.  There will be a two Basics of Pistol Shooting classes in September.</p>
<p><strong>There were no membership applications for this month.  </strong></p>
<p><strong>4H Shooters</strong>.  No Report</p>
<p><strong>Cowboy Action.</strong>  No Report</p>
<p><strong>Membership Committee- </strong>There are 89 individuals on the waiting list.  There was a reminder that dues are required to be paid by September 30<sup>th</sup>.  After that members have until October 31 to pay with a additional $10 late fee.</p>
<p><strong>WPPL Pistol Team.   </strong>No Report</p>
<p><strong>Trustees Report</strong>.-  Dick Pryor reported on the changes to the lights in the parking lots.</p>
<p>Exhaust Fans.   The motor in the exhaust fan on the parking lot side of the range is burned out.  Dick will investigate the possibilities for a replacement.</p>
<p>Darren Snow was recognized and thanked for his work in replacing the gravel in the parking lot.</p>
<p>The range clean-up/maintenance day was set for October 13.  All were encouraged to participate.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Old Business.</strong></p>
<p>Video Surveillance Upgrade- There will be a demonstration in September.</p>
<p>There was no new information on the issue of the property appraisal.</p>
<p><strong>New Business.</strong></p>
<p>Nomination of Officers.  The following candidates were nominated for club officers:</p>

Corresponding Secretary- Clayton Morrow</p>
<p>Denny Kuehn made a motion that club officers, trustees, and Membership Committee chair serve with a complimentary membership<strong>.  The motion was voted and approved.</strong></p>
<p>There was a proposal to approve a change to the rules to allow the use of bowling pins as targets.  Considerable discussion followed.  It was suggested that the Club Vice President investigate the possibility and establish a limited trial.  Both the Club Training Officer and Safety office will be involved in this process.  22 September at 6:00pm was the suggested trial date and time.</p>
<p>There was a reminder for all committee chairs and those responsible for club activities to keep the website coordinator, Matt Creason, updated to any activity/committee dates and changes.</p>
<p><strong>For the Good of the Club. </strong></p>
<p><strong>            </strong>There was a suggestion to use a spray on application for the roof as opposed to the replacement of the roof material.</p>
<p>There was a suggestion to replace the windows in the meeting room section of the club.</p>
<p>It was noted that Carlisle Syntech donated $500 to the Club for the purchase of a laptop.   The president will send a thank you note.</p>

<strong>7/30/2018</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><strong>Officers present:</strong> President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and 2 trustees.  There were 29 members present</p>
<p><strong><u>The Minutes for the June 2018 meeting were read and approved .</u></strong><u>  </u></p>
<p><strong><u>Treasurer’s Report was read</u></strong><u> <strong>and accepted</strong>.</u>  The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CDs and Training Fund amounted to $58,284.79.</p>
<p><strong>Corresponding Secretary’s Report.</strong>  No Report</p>
<p><strong>NRA Training Group Report-</strong> The NRA Training Group reported on safety training they conducted in July.  Also briefed were the upcoming events for the remainder of 2018.  There will be a Basics of Pistol Shooting class in September.</p>
<p><strong>There were no membership applications for this month.  </strong></p>
<p><strong>4H Shooters</strong>.  The 4H shooters traveled to Grand Isle, NE for the national shooting competition. They finished 8<sup>th</sup> overall.  The specific results of each members was read.</p>

<p><strong>Membership Committee- </strong>There are 86 individuals on the waiting list.  There was a reminder that dues are required to be paid by September 30<sup>th</sup>.  After that members have until Ocotober 31 to pay with a $10 late fee.</p>
<p><strong>WPPL Pistol Team.   </strong>No Report</p>
<p><strong>Trustees Report</strong>.-  Dick Pryor provided the club two reports, one on the roof condition and the other on lighting improvements.  See the attached reports.</p>
<p><strong>Roof.  Randy Nichols made aa motion to establish a fund with $10k/yr deposited for use in the eventual repair of the roof.  The motion was voted and approved.   </strong></p>
<p><strong>Interior Lights.  There was a second motion by Dick Pryor to authorize up to $700 to replace the interior lights with LEDs.  The motion was voted and approved. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Exterior Lights.  There was a motion to change the exterior light activation froma timer system to amotion sensing system.  The motion was voted and approve.  </strong></p>
<p><strong>Old Business- </strong></p>
<p>Video Surveillance Upgrade- We have received a demon stration on the new system in the near future.</p>

<p>Real Estate Appraisal.  There was a discussion on getting a commercial property appraisal in order to know what the club and property was valued at.  It was decided to get a better idea of the cost of an appraisal before moving forward on this issue.</p>
<p><strong>NRA Donation.  JimYemzo made a motion that the club match member doantions to the NRA up to $500.  The motion was voted and approved.   </strong></p>

<p><b>Officers present:</b> President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary and 2 trustees.</p>

<p><b>Treasurer’s Report was read</b> <b>and accepted</b>.  The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CDs and Training Fund amounted to $53,959.79.</p>
<p><b>Corresponding Secretary’s Report.</b>  No Report</p>
<p><b>NRA Training Group Report-</b> The NRA Training Group had an ending balanced of $6,244.51.   The NRA Training Group representative reported on the results of the training activities for the month of June which included the Personal Protection Inside the Home Instructor Course and  Personal Protection Outside the Home Instructor Course.  Also briefed is the upcoming events for the remainder of 2018.  There will be no training events during the months of July and August.  For details see the attached Training Group Report.</p>

<p><b>4H Shooters</b>.  No Report</p>
<p><b>Cowboy Action.</b>  No Report</p>
<p><b>Membership Committee- </b>There are 84 individuals on the waiting list.  If anyone is interested in being the Chair of the membership committee please talk to Tom Richwine.  The president appoints the Chair of that committee.  There was a discussion on whether the club should look at limit on the total number of club members in the November/December time frame with the possibility of increasing it.</p>
<p><b>WPPL Pistol Team.   </b>No Report</p>
<p><b>Trustees Report</b>.-  No Report.  The president asked about the status of the roof and is this something that we need to look into as a possible long range major construction project.   The membership was asked if this was something we should bring in to do an assessment of the condition.  Mike Kubarik made a motion to get a professional assessment of the condition of the roof, this was seconded, voted, and approved.  Mike and Dick Pryor will look into this.</p>
<p><b>Old Business- </b></p>
<p><b> Video Surveillance Upgrade- </b>We have received three proposals for a 10 camera system.<b>  </b>The proposals were $4k, $7500, and $13K and the differences in cost are mostly in the price of the cameras.  There was a considerable discussion on the advantages and disadvantages  and the specification of the various proposals.  Gary made a motion that we bring in the $7500 vendor and review his proposal.  The motion was voted and approved.</p>
<p><b>Nomination of Officers</b>&#8211;  Officers are nominated at the August meeting.  They will be voted at the September meeting.  At the July meeting we need to identify who we will nominate at the August meeting.</p>

<strong>5/21/2018</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President; there were 25 members present.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><b>Officers present:</b> President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer and 2 trustees.</p>

<p><b>Corresponding Secretary’s Report.</b>  No Report</p>
<p><b>NRA Training Group Report-</b> The NRA Training Group had an ending balanced of $6,218.37.   The NRA Training Group representative reported on the results of the training activities for the months of April and May and also briefed the upcoming events for the remainder of 2018.  For details see the attached Training Group Report.</p>

<p><b>Membership Committee- </b>There are 75 individuals on the waiting list.</p>

<p><b>Old Business- </b></p>
<p><b> Video Surveillance Upgrade- </b>The results of this are not ready to be presented to the club.  The range of estimates received to this point were $4K to $12K.  We will be contacting one of the vendors to get clarification on their estimate.</p>
<p><b>New Business </b></p>
<p><b> Election of Officers-  </b>The election of club officers is in September.  The nomination of candidates will be at the August meeting.  The nominations need to be posted to the club 10 days prior to the August meeting.  Tome Richwine will not be running for president so he will head the Nomination Committee.</p>
<p>There was a question regarding the installation of additional electrical outlets within the meeting area to facilitate use of electrical appliances at meetings and during training.</p>
<p><b>For the Good of the Club.  </b></p>
<p>There were several comments regarding the use of eye protection while on the range.</p>
<p>There were comments on reloading and the need to check the brass you use if you reload.</p>

<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President; there were 34 members present.</p>

<p><b>4H Shooters-  </b>Two of the shooters are going to Nationals.</p>
<p><b>Cowboy Action.</b>  No Report</p>
<p><b>Membership Committee- </b>No Report</p>
<p><b>WPPL Pistol Team.   </b>Last match was 11 April.  Gold Team finished 5<sup>th</sup>  and Blue Team finished 6<sup>th</sup>.</p>
<p><b>Trustees Report</b>.-  Trustees fixed a roof leak over the boiler room.</p>
<p><b>Old Business- None</b></p>
<p><b>New Business </b></p>
<p><b> </b>There was a recommendation to consider improvements to the camera system. The camera resolution makes it difficult to identify individuals.  The president will bring some proposals to the next meeting for a potential vote.</p>
<p>The next meeting has been rescheduled to May 21 due to the Memorial Day weekend.</p>
<p>Mike Kubarek is looking into scheduling a Concealed Carry course for Utah permits</p>

</strong><strong>03/26/2018</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President; there were 29 members present.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><b>Officers present:</b> President, Vice President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary and 3 Trustee.</p>
<p><b>The Minutes for the February 29, 2018 meeting were read and accepted</b>.</p>
<p><b>Treasurer’s Report was read</b> <b>and accepted</b>.  The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CDs and Training Fund amounted to $61,916.44.</p>
<p><b>Corresponding Secretary’s Report.</b>  The corresponding secretary will be sending a message to membership reminding all that only paper-based targets are to be used on the range.</p>
<p><b>NRA Training Group Report-</b> Reported a total balance of $5,459.81 in the training account.  There was a Personal Protection in the Home Course on 2-3 March and a Personal Protection Outside the Home on 24-25 March, 2018.  The remaining 2018 training courses are posted at the CGC Website.  Questions- contact Slim Connors.</p>
<p><b>New Members</b>.  There were no candidates for membership.</p>
<p><b>Cowboy Action.</b>  No Report</p>
<p><b>Membership Committee- </b>There were several new candidates who submitted applications.  The waiting list stands at about 60.</p>
<p><b>WPPL Pistol Team.   </b>Gold team is in 5<sup>th</sup> place and the Blue Team is in 6<sup>th</sup> place.</p>
<p><b>Trustees Report</b>.- The club has been offered a donation of furniture (love seat).</p>
<p><b>Old Business</b></p>
<p><b> CMP- </b>The club renewed its membership in the Civilian Marksmanship Program.<b>  </b><b>  </b></p>
<p><b>Match w/ Carlisle UK Gun Club. </b>The Club President will be talking with members of the Pistol and rifle teams and develop a committee to help develop a course of fire to be used during our competition with the Carlisle UK Gun Club.  Anyone who is interested should contact Tom Richwine.</p>
<p><b>New Business </b></p>
<p><b> </b>There was a discussion on the possibility of a group such as US Law Shield or others conducting a seminar on concealed carry or another topic at the club.  Chris Rodite volunteered to look into this further and report back to the club.  This was followed by a discussion on open carry during a Commonwealth declared state of emergency and its potential effects on the carrying of firearms, concealed or open.</p>

<p><strong>02/26/2018</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President; there were 25 members present.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><b>Officers present:</b> President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and 1 Trustee.</p>
<p><b>The Minutes for the January 29, 2018 meeting were read and accepted</b>.</p>
<p><b>Treasurer’s Report was read</b> <b>and accepted</b>.  The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CDs and Training Fund amounted to $50,502.91.</p>
<p><b>Corresponding Secretary’s Report.</b>  No Report.</p>
<p><b>NRA Training Group Report-</b> Reported a total balance of $4,832.19 in the training account.  There was a Personal Protection in the Home Course on 23-24 February, 2018.  The 2018 training courses are posted at the CGC Website.</p>
<p><b>New Members</b>.  There were 3 candidates for membership.</p>
<p><b>4H Shooters</b>&#8211; No Report</p>
<p><b>Cowboy Action.</b>  There were 26 participants at the February Cowboy Action Shoot.  $350 was contributed to the club from the proceeds.  The dates of January 5 and February 2, 2019 were requested for next years events.  <b>Tom Richwine made a motion to reserve those two dates.  The motion was voted and approved.</b></p>
<p><b>Membership Committee- </b>Reported that the membership is now at its limit of 400.  There are currently 56 individuals on the waiting list.  A brief summary of range utilization based on fob access was presented to the members.</p>
<p><b>WPPL Pistol Team.</b>  No report</p>
<p><b>Trustees Report</b>.- No report</p>
<p><b>Old Business</b></p>
<p><b> Temporary Weapons Storage at Club.  </b>There was a discussion followed by a motion on whether to provide temporary storage at the club facility for member’s personal weapons.<b>  </b><b>The motion was voted and was not approved.  </b></p>
<p><b>Medical Marijuana-  </b>There was a motion on whether to create a committee to consider a change to the club’s bylaws to account for the use of medical marijuana.  <b>The motion was voted and not approved.</b><b>  </b></p>
<p><b>At this point the president made a note for the benefits of the members present reminding them that once a motion is presented for vote it cannot be reintroduced until there is a new administration of officers of the club.   </b></p>
<p><b>Backstop</b>.  There was a discussion on potential improvements to the range backstop.  The president asked the trustees to investigate this further and report back at a later date.</p>
<p><b>Parking Lot</b>.  It was noted that the gravel in the parking lot need to be redistributed and leveled.</p>
<p><b>For the Good of the Club.</b></p>
<p>The Vice President reminded members that only paper based targets can be used on the range.  The President requested that the Corresponding Secretary send an email reminder to all the members on this.</p>
<p>There was a recognition and thanks to the members of the NRA Training Committee for all the good training they provide.</p>
<p>It was noted that the Mt Holly Springs Fish and Game Club is taking new members and they have facilities for long range shooting.</p>
