10/29/2018
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President.
The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Officers present: President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Secretary and 1Ttrustee. There were 21 members present
The Minutes for the September 2018 meeting were read and approved .
Treasurer’s Report was read and accepted.
Corresponding Secretary’s Report- No Report
NRA Training Group Report- The NRA Training Group reported on training they conducted in September and October with a total of 19 students. All training objectives were achieved. Also, 6 NRA Instructors participated in 3 shooting events and 1 clinic for 16 students. There will be a Basics of Personal Protection Outside the Home course and Defensive Pistol training that will complete the CGC training for 2018. The training calendar for 2019 is complete and will be posted on the Club’s website.
There were no membership applications for this month.
4H Shooters– The 4H shooters traveled to Grand Island, NE for the national shooting championship. They finished 8th overall. The specific results of each member was read.
Cowboy Action- No Report
Membership Committee- There are 52 members that did not renew their membership for 2019. There are currently 95 individuals on the waiting list.
WPPL Pistol Team- They are still competing. Contact Gary Gibson if you are interested in joining the team.
Trustees Report– There were 29 members present for the annual work day. About 2000 lbs of lead was removed.
Motorized damper motor-Dick Pryor made a motion to reserve $350.00 for the repair and/or replacement of the motor and wiring. The motion was voted and approved.
Old Business-
There was a discussion about the possibility of installing Wi-Fi at the club. This will be addressed at a future meeting.
Video Surveillance Upgrade- The new system will be installed in the near future. A new network cabinet will replace the current metal cabinet.
Membership- There was interest in raising the number of active members, but some concern on the impact that will have on the club. It was suggested someone contact the insurance company to ask what the increased cost would be if more members are permitted. It was proposed to present all new members at one meeting. Denny Keuhn is willing to train new members during the week, if that is helpful.
New Business- No comments
For the Good of the Club-
A special thank you to Courtney Genise for donating her time and talent sewing and installing the new curtains at the club.
It was announced that member William Capshaw passed away recently. Gary Gibson will send a card on the CGC behalf.
