Carlisle Gun Club Meeting Minutes
03/26/2018

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President; there were 29 members present.

The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Officers present: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary and 3 Trustee.

The Minutes for the February 29, 2018 meeting were read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report was read and accepted.  The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CDs and Training Fund amounted to $61,916.44.

Corresponding Secretary’s Report.  The corresponding secretary will be sending a message to membership reminding all that only paper-based targets are to be used on the range.

NRA Training Group Report- Reported a total balance of $5,459.81 in the training account.  There was a Personal Protection in the Home Course on 2-3 March and a Personal Protection Outside the Home on 24-25 March, 2018.  The remaining 2018 training courses are posted at the CGC Website.  Questions- contact Slim Connors.

New Members.  There were no candidates for membership.

Cowboy Action.  No Report

Membership Committee- There were several new candidates who submitted applications.  The waiting list stands at about 60.

WPPL Pistol Team.   Gold team is in 5th place and the Blue Team is in 6th place.

Trustees Report.- The club has been offered a donation of furniture (love seat).

Old Business

CMP- The club renewed its membership in the Civilian Marksmanship Program.    

Match w/ Carlisle UK Gun Club. The Club President will be talking with members of the Pistol and rifle teams and develop a committee to help develop a course of fire to be used during our competition with the Carlisle UK Gun Club.  Anyone who is interested should contact Tom Richwine.

New Business 

There was a discussion on the possibility of a group such as US Law Shield or others conducting a seminar on concealed carry or another topic at the club.  Chris Rodite volunteered to look into this further and report back to the club.  This was followed by a discussion on open carry during a Commonwealth declared state of emergency and its potential effects on the carrying of firearms, concealed or open.
