Carlisle Gun Club Meeting Minutes
July 27, 2026 

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the club President.

The Meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Officers and Members Present:  President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, and 1 trustee was present.  There were 24 members present.  

Approval of Minutes from Prior Meeting.  The minutes for the June 2026 meeting were read by the Recording Secretary. A motion to accept the minutes was made by Tom Richwine.  The motion carried.  

Treasurer’s Report. The Treasurer’s Report was read by the Vice President.  The total balance of all accounts and CDs amounted to $85,696.05.  A motion to accept the report was made by Len Burriso.  The motion carried.  

Corresponding Secretary’s Report.  No Report  

NRA Training Group Activities Report.  The NRA Training Group Activities Report for July 2026 was read by Slim Connors.  The group training fund had an ending balance of $2,880.08  Slim reported on the training activities for July.  Individual range orientations for 2 new members were provided.  The training activities scheduled for the upcoming months include an NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting in September.  See attached report.

New Members Accepted into the Club.   There were 3 new members accepted into the club.  See the attached roster spreadsheet.

4H Youth Small Bore Rifle Shooting Program – No Report   

Cowboy Action Shooters.  No Report

Membership Committee Report.   Wanda Bonasera reported she will be available on 8/31/2026 to take membership renewal payments.   Beginning 8/1/2026 members will be able to renew on line with PayPal.  Currently there are 429 active members including the three accepted tonight.  There are 2 applications waiting to be processed, both without a sponsor.   See attached report.

Technology and Security Committee.  No Report

WPPL Pistol Team.  Gary Gibson reported that the team will start up competition on 9/16/2026.   Match dates are posted on the range doors.  

Trustees Report.  Mike Bonasera reported on the following action/issues:

-Range Ceiling Project- Mike has received a quote to install insulation over the meeting room area of the club.  Len Burriso made a motion to approve $6750 for this project. The motion carried.   

-250^th Year Anniversary Colonial Flag Ceiling Proposal- Mike withdrew this proposal from the June meeting.  

-200 Amp Electrical Panel Upgrade – Tony Bubrowski installed a new circuit breaker box.

-Sink Replacement- Mike requested a volunteer to help with the installation of a new sink.  

-Range Update- Mike suggested the possible replacement of the range table tops with a material that can be routinely and easily cleaned.  

-$140 was requested for the purchase of a small refrigerator. Glen Keller made a motion to approve the funds, discussion followed, the motion carried.   

-Tom Richwine raised the issue of the establishment of a capital budget.  The president then discussed the need to create a committee to work on the development of this budget.  

Old Business.  

-Bylaws Change.   Kurt Uhler made a motion to change the club bylaws to include provisions for the Range Workdays to be the 3^rd Friday and Saturday in April.   The Motion carried.

–The president reported there will be a meeting with Sheetz.  Updates will be provided to the club at the August meeting.  

–Nominations for the elections of club officers will be taken at the August meeting.  Elections will occur at the September meeting.  

New Business.  

–Rick Blosser asked if the club would consider being a sponsor to the Perry County Youth Field Day. Kurt Uhler made a motion to approve $200 for this.  The motion carried.  The president asked that a brochure on club training be handed out at this event.  

For the Good of the Club.  

–Larry Kell reported he was planning to attend training to obtain a 50 state concealed carried permit.   

Adjournment.  Slim Connors made a motion to adjourn.  Motion carried.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 pm.
