Corresponding Secretary Report – Scot Story.  Three member broadcast emails were sent announcing cancellation of the December meeting, range closure for cleaning, and a reminder of the 30 January 2023 General Membership meeting. Members were reminded to check their junk email for CGC announcements and move into them into email inbox to read to ensure future CGC Corresponding Secretary emails are received.

CGC Training Group Activities Report – Denny Kuehn. The 30 January 2023 report included CGC Training Group activities for the months of December 2022 and January 2023. The CGC Training Fund ending balance was $1,066.72. CGC NRA instructors hosted an NRA Defensive Pistol course for 3 men on 3 December 2022. CGC NRA instructors hosted 2 NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting courses on 13-14 and on 20-21 January 2023 for 27 shooters, including 12 women, 12 men, and 3 Junior men. See the 30 January 2023 Training Group Activities Report for details.

New Members – There were 11 new members voted into the Club.

4-H Youth Small-Bore Rifle Shooting Program – Pete Castle. There are 4-6 regular youth shooters with another 3-4 junior youth who are beginning informal training. The Youth Shooting program is going well.

Cowboy Action – Rick Blosser.  There were 29 Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) shooters at the

6 January 2023 Cowboy Action match. The next 2023 five-stage match is scheduled for Saturday 4 February 2023 from @ 10am-2pm. After the 4 February match, the Perry County Regulators will provide a check for the CGC share of match fees. Everyone is invited to participate in or to watch the 4 February match. The 4-H Youth shooters will provide food. The Perry County Regulators request the dates of 6 January 2024 and 3 February 2024 for the annual SASS matches at the Carlisle Gun Club. Those dates are approved for planning by CGC Range Management.

Membership Committee – Rob Stewart. FY 2021-2022 ended on 1 November 2022 with 427 membership renewals. There are 59 membership applications with 54 of them being valid. The membership roles have been scrubbed to reflect current membership.

Technology and Security Committee – No report.

WPPL Pistol Team – Gary Gibson. The Gold Team is in 7th place and the Blue Team is in 7th place. There have been at least 10 shooters in most matches, even for away matches, so CGC WPPL participation has improved over that of the last couple of years.

Note: As discussed before with the CGC Master Chief Range Safety Officer: WPPL shooters are reminded to reconfigure the range for the other 438 Carlisle Gun Club members. Leaving benches stacked along the sides of the firing line is disrespectful of all other range users. Tables should be replaced at the 50′ line in sequential numerical order and with the numbers facing west…toward the double doors. Further, all windows and the double doors to the range are to remain closed during firing by all range users at all times throughout the year. Nose abatement for CGC neighborhood residents is a range rule and a requirement for range use.

Trustees Report – Bob Berrettini and Phil Dyche. The Treasurer and Trustees are still searching for a roofing contractor to solicit bids for CGC roof repair or replacement. The new bid should include provisions for warrantee of work to be accomplished. Trustees will contact Carlisle SynTec, Inc to begin the roof repair or replacement bid process.

  1. Action Item: Treasurer in coordination with Trustees to hand-off to Trustees to present to members for

decision and for authorization to proceed with a roof repair contract.

  1. Both CGC toilets and the water shutoff valve below the Meeting Room sink still leak and safety bars should

be installed in both bathrooms. Action Item: Trustees.

  1. Ceiling tiles on the range need to be replaced. Pending roof leak remediation, furring strip or other support

methods should be used to reinforce and to replace missing or broken ceiling tiles. Action Item: Trustees.

  1. The white rubber backing covering the range backstop support structure needs to be completed over firing

points 1 and 2 on the north side of the range impact area. Action Item: Trustees organize a small work party

to complete the white rubber covering on the range.

  1. The holes in the conveyor belt need to be patched to minimize the possibility of spalling injury to close-in

shooters. All shooters are reminded to never shoot closer than the 3-yard line. Action Item: Trustees

organize a work party to cut and to install patches to cover the holes in the conveyor belt.

Old Business – Lt Dave Miller sent a thank you letter to the Carlisle Gun Club for members donating $2480 to the Cumberland County Special Response Team (SRT) for 2022. Denny Kuehn was the project leader and SRT liaison. Well done to Denny and to all who supported this important service for our community.

New Business – Club officers and Trustees will review emergency response procedures and capabilities and will solicit Club member support to make recommended improvements. Topics to research include obtaining a Knox Box, AED, CPR mask and bag, flashlights with traffic wands, reflective vests, GPS coordinates for the CGC front door, and other methods of directing first responders directly to the Club.

Action Item: Range Management.

For the Good of the Club – None.

Motion to Adjourn – Motion was made by Courtney Genise and seconded by Phil Dyche. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 8:08pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Slim Connors
