October 30, 2017Carlisle Gun Club Meeting Minutes
8/28/2017
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President; there were 42 members present.
The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Officers present: President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, and 3 Trustees.
The Minutes for the July 21, 2017 meeting were read and accepted.
Treasurer’s Report was read and accepted. The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CDs and Training Fund amounted to $41,513.71.
Corresponding Secretary’s Report. No report
NRA Training Committee Report- Reported on the Training group activities for the month of August and the projected activities for 2017. Anyone interested in becoming an NRA certified instructor or taking an instructor refresher course should contact Slim Connnors.
Membership. There were no candidates for membership.
4H Shooters– Reported that the senior Team took 1st place in the state finals. 2 members are eligible for 2018 4H National Championship.
Cowboy Action. No Report
Membership Committee. There are 78 applicants for membership. There was a discussion on how to handle applications that have no sponsor.
WPPL Pistol Team. Reported on the need for a laptop to use in the management of their records. Gary Gibson made a notion to authorize up to $550 to purchase a laptop for the team. The motion was voted and approved.
Safety Committee. Reported that the Committee’s recommendation for the Range Safety Policy has been forwarded to the Range Management.
Long Range Planning Committee. No Report
Trustees Report.- There was a discussion on the operations of the dampeners for the ventilation system.
Old Business–
-Vending Machines- Bill Beidel made a motion to allocate $220 to refurbish the beverage vending machine. The motion was voted and approved.
New Business–
-Elections. The following nominations were made for club officers
President- Tom Richwine
Vice-President- Andy Henry, Slim Connors
Treasurer- Darren Snow
Recording Secretary- Joe Wasiak
Corresponding Secretary- Clayton Morrow
Trustee- Mike Kubarek, Parvin Weaver
Election will be held at the September meeting.
-Club Work Day- There will be a range work day on September 30 from 0800 until completion. There was a discussion on equipment and tasks to be completed.
-NRA Donation. Jim Yemzow made a motion that the club match member donations up to $500 as we have in previous years. The motion was voted and approved. There was a discussion on which NRA committee to donate the money to. Mike Kubarek will check with the NRA to identify any restriction on contributions to their committees.
-Dues Payments. Dues can now be paid online through PayPal.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:53 pm.
