Carlisle Gun Club Meeting Minutes
08/26/2019

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President.

The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Officers present:President, Vice President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary and 3 Trustees.  There were 34 members present.

The Minutes for the July 2019 meeting were read and approved. 

Treasurer’s Report was read and accepted.

Corresponding Secretary’s Report-Recently several emails have been sent to members regarding membership renewal and fob use to gain access to the Club.

NRA Training Group Report-CGC NRA Instructor led courses will resume in September.  There are 2 BOPS classes scheduled and only a few seats are currently available.

New Members- There were no new members processed into the Club. 

4H Shooters– They recently participated in the 4-H Shooters Sports Nationals with one shooter placing 5^th.  Also, they competed in the Consolidated Sportsman Club shoot and took 1^stplace in the Junior Team.  Practice will resume Sept. 26^th.

Cowboy Action- No Report.

Membership Committee- Many membership renewals have been received via Paypal and regular mail. New applications continue to be accepted.

WPPL Pistol Team- All are welcome to join. Practice is on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm and matches are on Wednesday evenings with arrival at 6:30pm. Contact Gary Gibson or Dick Pryor if you are interested in joining the team.

Trustees Report– No Report.

Old Business-

Membership Committee- Volunteers are needed to process new applications, communications with prospects, activating and issuing fobs, etc.  If interested, please contact the President.

Technology and Security Committee- Volunteers are needed to maintain the cameras, Ethernet, Comcast, PC Hardware, Fob software, etc.  If interested, please contact the President.

Stop the Bleed-This new program will be offered to NRA instructors first, then CGC members and lastly, the general public.  Dates and venue to be announced.

New Business-

Elections– The following nominations were made for club officers:

Vice-President- Slim Connors
Treasurer- Darren Snow
Recording Secretary- Beth Moul
Corresponding Secretary- Clayton Morrow
Trustee- Phil Dyche

Elections will be held at the September meeting.

Club Work Day– There will be a range work day on September 28^thfrom 9:00am until completion.  There was a discussion on equipment and tasks to be completed.

Meeting Reminder Email- It was suggested that an email be sent to club members prior to each meeting with the agenda attached.  Clayton has agreed to take care of this.
