Personal Protection in the Home (PPIH) - Cost $80. Offered: 7-8 February 25; 17-18 October 25.

DESCRIPTION: Friday evening and all-day Saturday course. Develop basic knowledge, skills and (positive) attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a firearm for protection in the home. Includes strategies for home safety, firearms and the law, and basic defensive pistol skills. PREREQUISITE: Must have completed NRA Basics Pistol Shooting. OTHER INFO: Bring 150 rounds of factory ammo in factory box for your own center fire pistol...no short-barrel pocket pistols...no reloaded ammo. Bring billed cap, glasses, ear protection (electronic recommended), bag lunch for Saturday. Need an Outside-the-WaistBand (OWB) hip holster and suitable belt. Min of 2 mags or speed loaders...belt carriers recommended.  No shoulder holsters, ankle holsters, small-of-the-back holsters, cross-draw holsters or holster purses allowed. No back-up guns.
