June 2, 2025 (May Meeting)</b></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by the club President.</p>
<p>The Meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><b>Officers and Members Present:</b><span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and 1 trustee was present.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>There were 20 members present. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p><b>Approval of Minutes from Prior Meeting.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span></b>The minutes for the April 2025 meeting were read by the Recording Secretary. A motion to accept the minutes was made by Jim Hurley.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>The motion carried. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p><b>Treasurer’s Report.</b> The Treasurer’s Report was read by the Treasurer.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>The total balance of all accounts and CDs amounted to $110,682.97.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>A motion to accept the report was made by John Haiduck. The motion carried.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>See attached Members 1<sup>st</sup> statement.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>The Treasurer also report on billing from Waste Management for trash removal services. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p><b>Corresponding Secretary’s Report.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span></b>No Report<span class="Apple-converted-space">   </span></p>
<p><b>NRA Training Group Activities Report.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span></b>The NRA Training Group Activities Report for April 2025 was read by Slim Connors.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>The group training fund had an ending balance of $4,986.88.<span class="Apple-converted-space">    </span><br />
Slim reported on the activities for May to include the following courses:</p>
<p>Basics of Pistol Shooting Instructor Course<br />
NRA Home Firearms Safety Instructor Course<br />
Personal Protection Inside the Home Instructor Course<br />
Personal Protection Outside the Home Instructor Course Part 1<br />
Range Safety Officer Course</p>
<p>Slim also announced the training projected for June to include:</p>

NRA Basic Rifle Instructor Course</p>

<p><b>New Members Accepted into the Club.</b> <span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>There was 1 new members accepted into the club.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>See the attached roster spreadsheet.</p>
<p><b>4H Youth Small Bore Rifle Shooting Program &#8211; </b>No Report<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p><b>Cowboy Action Shooters.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span></b>No Report</p>
<p><b>Membership Committee Report. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></b> Wanda Bonasera reported that as of June 2 there were 438 members counting the 1 new member.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>There are 4 new applications waiting to be processed.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>See attached report.</p>
<p><b>Technology and Security Committee.</b><span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>John Haiduck reported the cooling fans on the computer electronics housing were replaced.<span class="Apple-converted-space">   </span></p>
<p><b>WPPL Pistol Team.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span></b>No Report. <span class="Apple-converted-space">   </span></p>
<p><b>Trustees Report. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></b></p>
<p><b>&#8211;</b>Mike Bonasera reported on the exhaust fan exterior shroud rebuild and noise abatement and the time period for which the work estimate is valid.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>He also reminded membership that the Range Impact Fan is below the Target turners, above the target stanchions, and inside the edges near the wall.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>Mike also noted that the list of trustees on the club website needs to be updated. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p><b>Old Business.</b> <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>-The President gave an update on the correspondence with representatives from Sheetz.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>He also discussed the counter offer to Sheetz of $14,000.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>-The president gave an update on the tax free status of the club and discussions with a tax attorney on the way forward. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>-The president mention that a survey will be sent to all members soliciting input on future activities members would like to see in 2026. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p><b>New Business.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span></b>None <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p><b>For the Good of the Club.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span></b>The Vice-President informed the club that PA Representative Barb Gleim will be hosting a presentation on Fish and Game Rule changes on 6/5/2025 at 6:00 pm at West Pensboro Fire House.<span class="Apple-converted-space">   </span></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Carlisle Gun Club Meeting Minutes</strong><br />
<strong>May 22, 2023</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by the Club President.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><strong><u>Officers and Members Present:</u></strong> President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and three Trustees were present. The Vice-President, and Corresponding Secretary were absent. There were 33 members present.</p>
<p><strong><u>Minutes for the 24 April 2023 meeting were read and approved.</u></strong>  Motion to accept the minutes, as read, was made by Steve Bear and seconded by Denny Kuehn. The motion carried.</p>
<p><strong><u>Treasurer Report was read and approved. </u></strong>  The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CD of $50,597.74, less Training Fund of $1,292.11, amounted to $117,395.81. Motion to accept the Treasurer Report, as read, was made by Denny Kuehn and seconded by Tom Sheperd. The Motion carried.</p>
<p><strong><u>Corresponding Secretary Report </u></strong>– No Report. The CGC President provided a summary.</p>
<p><strong><u>CGC Training Group Activities Report</u></strong> – Denny Kuehn. The 22 May 2023 report indicated the CGC Training Fund ending balance was $1,292.11. CGC NRA Training Counselor hosted an NRA Basic Instructor Training course, Three NRA Pistol Instructor Pre-Qualifications, and an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor course. Congratulations to NRA Certified Pistol Instructors Steve Bear, Mike Consevage, Alan Huang, and Rob Stewart. See the 22 May 2023 Training Group Activities Report for details.</p>
<p><strong><u>New Members</u></strong> – There were 10 new members voted into Club membership.</p>
<p><strong><u>4-H Youth Small-Bore Rifle Shooting Program</u></strong> – John Gingrich. Daniel Miller is the Pennsylvania Senior Division State Champion. The 2022-2023 season is about completed…the 2023-2024 season will resume the end of September 2023. John requests the 2023-2024 CGC team schedule be placed on the CGC calendar.</p>
<p><strong><u>Cowboy Action</u></strong> – No report.</p>
<p><strong><u>Membership Committee</u></strong> – Rob Stewart. There are 473 current members, with an additional 10 members voted into the Club at the 22 May 2023 General Membership meeting. The 22 May 2023 General Membership Meeting was the last scheduled opportunity for new member range safety evaluations until the 29 January 2024 CGC General Membership meeting. There are an additional remaining 4 valid applicants who may be invited for individual or group new member CGC Range Orientation briefings and paperwork, and range safety evaluations by CGC NRA instructors. If found qualified, these remaining applicants may then be presented to the Body for Membership vote at any CGC general Membership Meeting before the before the 29 January 2024 CGC General Membership Meeting. Individual or group CGC Range Orientations and Safety Evaluations remain at the discretion of CGC NRA instructors, in accordance with CGC procedures.</p>
<p><strong><u>Technology and Security Committee</u></strong> – No report.</p>
<p><strong><u>WPPL Pistol Team</u></strong> – Gary Gibson. CGC WPPL teams finished the season with the Gold Team finishing 6<sup>th</sup> place and the Blue Team finishing 7<sup>th</sup> place. The &#8220;excellent&#8221; awards banquet was be held 13 May 2023 at the American Legion Linglestown, PA with more than 400 individuals attending.</p>
<p><strong><u>Trustees Report</u></strong> –</p>
<ol>
<li>George Lawrence. Trustees and associates are still pursuing estimates on roof repairs. Negotiations with Carlisle Construction Materials might include some donated materials worth up to $18,000. There is a standing bid for $40K that does not include repairs to roof decking, insulation, or ceiling suspension system. These additional `possible requirements could cost another $25K-$40K. Negotiations continue.</li>
<li>Bob Berrettini. Work Day needs to be scheduled when the weather gets cooler to clean out bullet trap and to repair conveyor belts.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong><u>Old Business</u></strong> –</p>
<ol>
<li>CGC roof repair update from Trustees Report, ref para 1 above. <strong>ACTION ITEM:</strong> Trustees and associates.</li>
<li>The vote for CGC Membership Annual Dues to include a $10 discount for CGC members who are 65 or older before 1 November 2023 was taken up from the table in compliance with CGC By-Laws. Because members who made and seconded the motion were absent, there was no one in the Body who would speak in favor of the motion. Because CGC membership data does not include any method to verify member birthdates, this otherwise-noble motion was lost.</li>
<li>Scheduling and announcing the CGC work day to clean the range bullet trap and to repair the range conveyor belts, ref para 2 above, remains an open item. <strong>ACTION ITEM:</strong> Trustees and Range Management.</li>
<li>Tom McKay. Tom asks for a copy of the CGC budget. <strong>ACTION ITEM:</strong> CGC Treasurer.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong><u>New Business</u></strong> – None.</p>
<p><strong><u>For the Good of the Club</u></strong> – None.</p>

<strong>05/24/2021</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><strong>Officers and Members Present:</strong> President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and all Trustees. Vice President was absent. There were 28 members present.</p>
<p><strong><u>Minutes for the 26 April 2021 meeting were read and approved.</u></strong><u>  </u></p>
<p><strong><u>Treasurer Report was read</u></strong><u> <strong>and approved</strong>.</u>  The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CDs and Training Fund amounted to $98,258.60.</p>
<p><strong><u>Corresponding Secretary Report</u></strong> – Sent an email about change of date for the May CGC General Membership meeting.</p>
<p><strong><u>CGC Training Group Activities Report</u></strong> <strong>&#8211;</strong> The CGC Training Group reported $6,252.81 in the Training Fund. The CGC NRA Training Counselor conducted 5 <strong><u>NRA Basic Instructor Training</u></strong> courses in April and May for 8 Instructor Candidates and for 7 NRA Instructors. CGC NRA Training Counselor certified 6 new <strong><u>NRA Pistol Instructors</u></strong> and completed an <strong><u>NRA Personal Protection in The Home</u></strong> course for 1 shooter who began training in February 2021. CGC NRA Training Counselor conducted a <strong><u>Revolver Clinic</u></strong> on 8 May 2021. CGC NRA instructors provided 8 hours of firearms safety and proficiency training for 7 shooters during May 2021. See the 24 May 2021 CGC NRA Training Group Activities Report for additional information.</p>
<p><strong>New Members</strong> <strong>&#8211; </strong>There were 4 new members voted into the Club. Membership is now capped until membership slots become available in November 2021.</p>
<p><strong>4-H Youth Small-Bore Rifle Shooting Program </strong>– No report.</p>
<p><strong>Cowboy Action</strong> <strong>– </strong>No report.</p>
<p><strong>Membership Committee – </strong>There are currently 499 active members, leaving 1 remaining available membership slot. There are 11 new member applications (2 with no sponsor.) CGC membership is now capped until November 2021.</p>

<p><strong>WPPL Pistol Team – </strong>Dick Pryor. No report. No activities.</p>
<p><strong>Trustees Report </strong>– No report.</p>

<p><strong>For the Good of the Club </strong>– From the President. The annual Cumberland Valley Friends of the NRA Fundraising Banquet will be held Sunday, 27 June from 2pm-6pm at the West Shore Country Club. Cost is $65 per person, $110 per couple, $35 for kids 16 and under. You must preregister by 20 June to get a Club table…or you may pay at the door. Proceeds got to Sporting and Firearm Safety, Hunter Safety, Women’s Firearm Training, Youth and Boy Scout Programs, Wildlife Conservation Efforts, and Range Development &amp; Improvement. Carlisle Gun Club has received 2 grants (with another grant pending) from Friends of the NRA. To register, go to www.friendsofnra.org.</p>

<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><strong>Officers present:</strong>President, Vice President, and Recording Secretary.  There were 12 members present.</p>
<p><strong><u>The Minutes for the April 2019 meeting were read and approved .</u></strong><u>  </u></p>
<p><strong><u>Treasurer’s Report was read</u></strong><u><strong>and accepted</strong>.</u></p>
<p><strong>Corresponding Secretary’s Report-</strong>No Report.</p>
<p><strong>NRA Training Group Report-</strong>CGC NRA Instructors assisted training 17 women during the Roots for Boots program. In addition to in-processing 17 new members, CGC NRA instructors provided more than 6 hours of training in May.</p>
<p><strong>New Members- </strong>There were 5 new members processed into the Club.<strong>  </strong></p>
<p><strong>4H Shooters</strong>&#8211; No Report.</p>
<p><strong>Cowboy Action- </strong>No Report.</p>
<p><strong>Membership Committee- </strong>Applicants will continue to be processed during upcoming meetings.</p>
<p><strong>WPPL Pistol Team- </strong>They are currently looking for more shooters.  Contact Gary Gibson or Dick Pryor if you are interested in joining the team.</p>
<p><strong>Trustees Report</strong>&#8211; No Report</p>
<p><strong>Old Business- </strong>Sunday, June 9<sup>th</sup>from 1:00-3:00pm US Law Shield will be presenting a seminar at the CGC titled <u>The Legally Justified Use of Force.</u>   Members are Free, and Non-Members are $10.</p>
<p><strong>New Business- </strong>No Report</p>
<p><strong>For the Good of the Club-</strong></p>
<p><strong>Safety- </strong>Members are reminded that safety on the range is of upmost importance.  Slim will send an email to all members outlining proper range procedures.</p>
<p><strong>Legislative Action- </strong>Randy Nichols volunteered to periodically update CGC members of any changes that take place regarding firearm regulations and laws.</p>

<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President; there were 25 members present.</p>

<p><b>Old Business- </b></p>
<p><b> Video Surveillance Upgrade- </b>The results of this are not ready to be presented to the club.  The range of estimates received to this point were $4K to $12K.  We will be contacting one of the vendors to get clarification on their estimate.</p>
<p><b>New Business </b></p>
<p><b> Election of Officers-  </b>The election of club officers is in September.  The nomination of candidates will be at the August meeting.  The nominations need to be posted to the club 10 days prior to the August meeting.  Tome Richwine will not be running for president so he will head the Nomination Committee.</p>
<p>There was a question regarding the installation of additional electrical outlets within the meeting area to facilitate use of electrical appliances at meetings and during training.</p>
<p><b>For the Good of the Club.  </b></p>
<p>There were several comments regarding the use of eye protection while on the range.</p>
<p>There were comments on reloading and the need to check the brass you use if you reload.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Carlisle Gun Club Meeting Minutes</strong><br />
<strong>5/22/2017</strong></p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the Club President; there were 37 members present.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><b>Officers present:</b> President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, and 2 Trustees.</p>
<p><b>The Minutes for the April 24, 2017 meeting were read and accepted</b>.</p>
<p><b>Treasurer’s Report was read</b> <b>and accepted</b>.  The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CDs and Training Fund amounted to $44,225.05.</p>
<p><b>Corresponding Secretary’s Report.</b>  No report</p>
<p><b>NRA Training Committee Report-</b> The NRA Training Committee reported that there was $1,945.81 in the Training Fund.</p>
<p>-Training Committee reported on the activities for the month of May 2017 and the projected 2017 training activities.</p>
<p>-Additional information was provided on NRA pistol Instructor training.</p>
<p>-See the attached report for full details.</p>
<p><b>Safety Committee.</b>   The written procedures and policies for administrative range operations  were distributed to the committee members for comments.  They are currently working on revision 1.  When they are finished incorporating the changes they will produce a final product for the club.  There was a question about potential changes to the bylaws as a result of these but the committee reported that no changes were anticipated.  These changes will also include the previous work on the types and calibers of acceptable ammo that can be fired on the range.  Once the Range Management approves this it will be posted to the website.</p>
<p><b>New Members.  </b>There were no new members to be brought into the club.</p>
<p><b>Membership Committee.  </b>The chair reported on the total number of application of individuals waiting to become members.  The chair reported on the proposed changes to the Bylaws.  These were submitted to the club for consideration and will be announced to the full membership through email and voted on at the next meeting.</p>
<p><b>4H Shooters</b>&#8211; reported on the number of active 4H shooters.</p>

<p><b>Cowboy Action</b>&#8211; No report</p>
<p><b>WPPL Pistol Team</b><b>.</b>  The WPPL reported on the League annual banquet in Emmetsburg.</p>
<p><b>Safety Committee.  </b>The Safety Committee<b> </b>reported on their efforts to review and develop a series of safety documents which will be presented in the future for acceptance by the club.</p>
<p><b>Long Range Capitol Improvement Committee</b>.- The LRCIC reported on their recent meeting and potential capital improvements in 15 different areas.</p>
<p><b>Trustees Report</b>.- No report</p>
<p><b>Old Business</b><b>&#8211;  </b></p>
<p><b>Smoke Free Status of the Club.  </b>Andy Henry made a motion that the club building be made a non-smoking area.  The motion was voted and approved.</p>
<p><b>New Business</b><b>&#8211; </b></p>
<p>Action Shooters- Tom Richwine commented on the need to develop a more structured program for the weekly meeting of the action shooters and asked he be given some time to work on this issue and report back to the Club at a later date.</p>
<p>Dues-  The membership will be sent a message in the next month on a proposed increase to the club dues and potentially vote at the June meeting.</p>
<p><b>Sound Off.  </b></p>
<p>It was brought to the attention of the club a recently proposed bill to allow the presence of handguns in schools.</p>
<p>The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 pm.</p>

<p>6/6/2016</p>
<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Tom Richwine, there were 33 members present.</p>
<p>The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.</p>
<p><b>Officers present:</b> President –Tom Richwine, Treasurer &#8211; Jeff Clippinger, Corresponding Secretary – Gary Gibson, Recording Secretary – Joe Wasiak, and Trustees &#8211; Mike Kubarek, and Dick Pryor</p>
<p><b>The Minutes</b> for the April 2016 meeting were read <b>and approved</b> .</p>
<p><b>Treasurers Report</b> was read <b>and approved</b>.  The total balance of all accounts, checking, savings, CDs and Training Fund amounted to $63,040.61.</p>
<p><b>Corresponding Secretary’s Report</b>&#8211; The Corresponding Secretary cautioned that a Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance license might be more expensive than originally anticipated when attorney’s fee are factored into the total.</p>
<p><b>NRA Training Committee Report.</b>  The NRA Training Team had an ending balance of $5,557.23.  A Personal Protection in the Home course was conducted on 20-21 May.  There will be no training over the summer months.</p>
<p><b>4H Report- </b>The 4H Shooters are still practicing.  They lost two members as a result of graduations.</p>
<p><b>Cowboy Action</b>&#8211;  No report.</p>
<p><b>Membership Committee</b>&#8211; Tony Chiarella gave a report of club usage based on data gathered from the FOB system.</p>
<p><b>Pistol Team</b>&#8211;  No report.</p>
<p><b>Trustees Report</b>&#8211;  No  report.</p>
<p><b>Old Business</b>.</p>
<p><b>Strategic Planning Committee- </b>The committee purchased new 1<sup>st</sup> Aid Kits and a trauma kit.  Total cost was $264.86 and was well under the budgeted $800.  After reconsidering the purchase of an AED the they decided against.</p>
<p>There was a discussion on the range fans, their controls, the pointing and painting on the building and the clubs website.  This was followed by a motion to allocate $4.5K for the purchase and installation of new range fans.  <b>The motion was approved</b>.  See the attached Strategic Planning and Capital Expenditure Committee report for full details of the committee’s actions.</p>
<p><b>New Business. </b></p>
<p>It was suggested we have a new shooters clinic on Sundays open to the public.  The NRA training team will look into this.</p>
<p>The meeting adjourned at 8:06pm.</p>
