The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by the club President.

The Meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Officers and Members Present:  President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and 2 trustees were present.  There were 22 members present.  

Approval of Minutes from Prior Meeting.  The minutes for the October 28, 2024 meeting were read by the Recording Secretary. A motion to accept the minutes was made by Darren Snow.  The motion carried.  

Treasurer’s Report. The Treasurer’s Report was read by the Treasurer.  The total balance of all accounts and CDs amounted to $133,220.29.  A motion to accept the report was made by John Haiduck. The motion carried.

NRA Training Group Activities Report.  The NRA Training Group report for November was read by Slim Connors.  The group training fund had a balance of $2,523.37.  The Personal Protection Outside the Home Course scheduled for November 9 & 16 was cancelled due to a limited number of students.  There will be a Defensive Pistol Course conducted on 7 December.  The complete CGC NRA Training Calendar for 2025 will be posted to the club website.  All club members were encouraged to read the CGC Range Operation, Regulation, and Procedures on the CGC website under the Governance Tab.  See the attached report.    

New Members Accepted into the Club.   There were 10 new members accepted into the club.  

4H Youth Small Bore Rifle Shooting Program.  NSTR.

Cowboy Action Shooters.  Rick Blosser requested the dates of January 3 and February 7 for the the 2026 SASS shoots at the Gun Club.

Membership Committee Report.   Wanda Bonasera reported that as of 11/25/2024 there were 409 members.  There are 4 individuals on the waiting list. See attached report.

Technology and Security Committee.  John Haiduck reported that we are updated our current security system to a cloud-based system. 

WPPL Pistol Team.  Mark Weston reported that both teams are doing well and the team is looking for new members.  They shoot on Wednesday nights.

Trustees Report.  Mike Bonasera reported that due to the deterioration of the range ceiling the Trustees recommend it be replaced.  Discussion followed on what work would be done to include the installation of insulation and the potential need for asbestos testing.  A preliminary cost of the project is approximately $15,000.  The timing of this work will account for the WPPL and NRA training calendar.  There was no motion at this meeting on this project.  A discussion then followed on the installation of the barrier wall at the back of the club range wall.  The president requested that the trustees come back at the January meeting with any additional information.  See attached report.

For the Good of the Club.  Rick Blosser recommended that all club members consider attending the Cowboy Action Shoots scheduled for January and February 2025.  

The President recommended that club members “talk up” the NRA courses in the community in order to raise awareness of the availability of this training.

The Meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Officers and Members Present:  President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and 2 trustees were present.  There were 18 members present.  

Approval of Minutes from Prior Meeting.  The minutes for the September meeting were read by the Recording Secretary. A motion to accept the minutes was made by Rick Blosser.  The motion carried.  

Treasurer’s Report. The Treasurer’s Report was read by the outgoing Treasurer.  The total balance of all accounts and CDs amounted to $124,553.17.  A motion to accept the report was made by Mike Kubarek. The motion carried.  The outgoing treasurer, Darren Snow, thanked all who assisted him over the last 7 years.  See attached letter.

NRA Training Group Activities Report.  The NRA Training Group report for October was read by Slim Connors.  The group training fund had a balance of $2,703.87.  The Training Group conducted a Personal Protection In the Home Course for 8 students on October 11 & 12.  There will be a Personal Protection Outside the Home Course conducted on November 9 & 16.  There will be a Defensive Pistol Course conducted on 7 December.  The complete CGC NRA Training Calendar for 2025 will be posted to the club website in November.  All club members were encouraged to read the CGC Range Operation, Regulation, and Procedures on the CGC website under the Governance Tab.  See the attached report.

Old Business.  

-Sheetz Construction.  The surveyor has staked out what is needed for the right of way on Wrightstone Rd, the road in front of the club.  A parking lot adjacent to the club building will be added.  Discussion followed on the use of the club property.  There was a request for the membership to be included on updates as this construction project develops.

New Business.  

  -The club trustees received two bids for range improvements totaling approximately $800.  Mike Kubarek made a motion to approved $1000 for range improvements.  Motion carried.  

-Due to the holidays the December meeting, currently scheduled for December 30^th, will be cancelled.

Approval of Minutes from Prior Meeting.  The minutes for the August meeting were read by the Recording Secretary. A motion to accept the minutes was made by Courtney Geense.  The motion carried.  

Treasurer’s Report. The Treasurer’s Report was read by the Treasurer.  The total balance of all accounts and CDs amounted to $117,251.74.  A motion to accept the report was made by George Lawrence. The motion carried.  

Corresponding Secretary’s Report.  There were emails sent to membership on the August meeting and elections and a reminder on dues.  There was also a message asking for assistance with the HVAC heater system on the range.  

NRA Training Group Activities Report.  The NRA Training Group report for August and September was read by Slim Connors.  The group training fund had a balance of $2252.02.  The Training Group conducted a Basics of Pistol Shooting course for 15 students on September 13/14.  There will be a Personal Protection In the Home Course conducted on October 11/12.  See the attached report.    

New Members Accepted into the Club.   There were no new members accepted into the club.  New members will be brought into the club beginning in November.

-Denny Kuehn reminded club members not to throw food or other perishable trash in the trash containers in the club building and to use the outside dumpster.  

-Denny Kuehn suggested the club consider providing financial support, as we have in the past, to the County SRT again this year.

Targets are NRA approved or their equivalent for 50 foot indoor matches. The top five shooters from each team are considered the gold team for the evening and the match is decided by their aggregate score (2 points) and aggregates for slow fire (1 point), timed fire (1 point) and rapid fire (1 point) for a possible 5 points for the evening. The next highest five shooters are considered the blue team and their points for the evening are scored the same. These scores are accumulated over 27 matches to determine the best Gold and Blue club teams for the season.

When: September – April, Competitions Wednesdays at 7:00pm.
Setup starts at 5:00pm.
